ABC has given Joss Whedon’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. a full season order. The show will now have 22 episodes in total for its first season. (Ain’t It Cool)

With Simon Kinberg rewriting the Fantastic Four reboot, FOX is looking to test actors for the roles of Reed Richards (Mr. Fantastic) and Sue Storm (The Invisible Girl). Kit Harrington (Game of Thrones), Jack O’Connell (Skins) and Miles Teller (The Spectacular Now) are testing for Reed Richards while Saoirse Ronan (Hanna) and Kate Mara (House of Cards) are testing for Sue Storm. Josh Trank (Chronicle) is still set to direct the film. (Variety)

A new poster for Spike Lee’s remake of Oldboy premiered for the New York Comic Con recently. The film stars Josh Brolin, Elizabeth Olsen and Sharlto Copley and hits theaters on November 27.  (EW)

Despite early reports of The Wolverine Blu-ray extended cut adding 40 minutes to the film, it’s been confirmed by director James Mangold and FOX that the extended cut is 12 minutes longer than the theatrical cut, making it 138 mins. (The Digital Bits)

Ryan Kwanten (True Blood) and Jim Sturgess (Cloud Atlas) are joining Sam Worthington and Anthony Hopkins in the crime thriller, Kidnapping Freddy Heineken. The Girl Who Played with Fire and The Girl Who Kicked the Hornet’s Nest director Daniel Alfredson will helm the movie which chronicles the 1983 kidnapping of a Dutch beer magnate and his driver. The potential of Blade Runner 2 looks to be increasing after Harrison Ford talked about being in contact with director Ridley Scott, “Yeah, we’ve been chatting about it… I truly admire Ridley as a man and as a director, and I would be very happy to engage again with him in the further telling of this story.” (IGN)

A new image from the upcoming I, Frankenstein reveals a look at one of the demons, named Dekar, in the movie. The movie, directed by Stuart Beattie, stars Aaron Eckhart, Bill Nighy, Yvonne Strahovski and Mirando Otto. It hits theaters on January 24, 2014. (Comingsoon.net)

Terry Rossio, co-writer of The Lone Ranger, has been hired to write Masters of the Universe, based on the 1980s Mattel toy line featuring characters such as He-Man, Battle Cat, Orko and Skeletor. G.I. Joe: Retaliation director Jon M. Chu was attached to direct the film but has left the project and a new director is being sought. (Hollywood Reporter)

Nine long-lost Doctor Who episodes from the 1960s have been recovered recently. The BBC has remastered the source materials and is making two of the episodes, The Enemy of the World and The Web of Fear, available exclusively on iTunes now. (Comingsoon.net)

The new trailer for David O. Russell’s upcoming movie, American Hustle, is now online. The real-life FBI sting operation that targeted a laundry list of sneaky, bribe-accepting politicians from the late ’70s. The film stars Christian Bale, Bradley Cooper, Amy Adams, Jeremy Renner, Jennifer Lawrence, Robert DeNiro, Michael Pena, Louis C.K. and Elisabeth Rohm.
