Comic-Con Episode IV: A Fan’s Hope Trailer And Poster

I love Comic-Con.  It may be insane, overcrowded and perhaps a little bit smelly but there’s no other geek convention quite like it.  Geeks from around the world descend upon San Diego to see all the costumes, panels, displays and sales on comics and other collectibles.  You can meet the actors who play your favorite movie or TV characters and meet professional writers and artists who create the things you love allowing you to embarrassingly gush over meeting them face to face.  Most importantly however, it’s the biggest place to meet people just like yourself.  No one feels out of place at Comic-Con, you feel a bit like you are at home.  I know I do and I cannot wait to attend this year’s convention.

Morgan Spurlock has a new documentary coming out that I hope really captures what Comic-Con is about.. the people.  He’s teamed up with the likes of Stan Lee, Joss Whedon and Harry Knowles to bring us a peek into the world’s biggest geek convention.  I’m a fan of Spurlock.  He seems like an honest guy and has made some interesting films and I think A Fan’s Hope is definitely something I think he’s suited for.  He’s a self-proclaimed geek and with the talent involved behind the camera, I think we’re in for something really interesting and fun.  The film looks like it will hit select theaters and VOD starting on April 6th of this year.
