Nathan Fillion has joined the cast of Percy Jackson & The Olympians: The Sea of Monsters.  He will be playing the Greek god, Hermes.  The sequel is scheduled to be released on March 27, 2013.  (Hollywood Reporter)

Robert Rodriguez announced at SXSW that Machete Kills will begin shooting in April and Sin City 2 is likely to begin right after that with production starting sometime in the summer.  (SuperHeroHype)

A new still of Snake Eyes from the upcoming G.I. Joe sequel has been released.  It looks like the awkward lips have been omitted from the new design.  (Total Film)

The long in-development film adaptation of Brian K. Vaughn’s Y: The Last Man looks like it will be re-written by two new scribes, Matthew Federman and Stephen Scaia.  They will be going back to the drawing board and the work that Carl Ellsworth and director D.J. Caruso did on the adaptation will not factor into the new development of the script.  (Hollywood Reporter)

Paramount has closed a deal with Zack Estrin (a producer of ABC’s The River) to write Paranormal Activity 4.  Henry Joost and Ariel Schulman, directors of Paranormal Activity 3 are expected to return to direct.  The film will open on Oct. 19, 2012. (Hollywood Reporter)

Paramount has also shaken up their schedule a little and has moved the Brad Pitt-led zombie epic World War Z back to June 21, 2013 from its previous December 2012 release date.  It has also set dates for One Shot, starring Tom Cruise, which will premiere on Dec. 21, 2012 and for the new live action Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles on Dec. 25th, 2013. Olivia Wilde and Jason Sudeikis will team up to star in Relanxious, a comedy centering on a pair of would-be-lovers whose dreams are torn to pieces by her anxiety and his agoraphobia.  The supporting cast currently includes Brie Larson and Fred Armisen. (Deadline)

Woody Allen is eyeing the city of Copenhagen in Denmark as the setting for his next film which is currently untitled.  (Hollywood Reporter)

A photo of Javier Bardem on the set of the next James Bond film, Skyfall, has appeared online.  Bardem is sporting a blonde look for his role as the 007 villain. (Dark Horizons)

Joss Whedon has revealed that Dr. Horrible 2 is aiming for production to begin in the summer.  The project has an outline and songs written for it already but the delay in getting it done has come down to scheduling to make sure everyone is available to start filming.  (Wired)

Community returns to NBC tonight after being off the air since December 8th, 2011.  The new episode will air at 8/7c.  Here is a promo for the show that parodies the Prometheus teaser.
